Tab benoit is a grammy-nominated american singer, songwriter, and actor. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, florida, and has lived in canada and new york city. Benoit is the son of gibbons benoit, a successful in-house singer at 20-th century fox recording plant. The family also includes a dog and a cat. Benoit started his career in the early 1990s as a backing singer for his father and other singers. He soon became known as a front-man for his own band, benoit & his all-stars. The teams would play at the local bars and restaurants in broward county, benoit was recently divorced from his wife, jodi, and was raising his daughter by himself. Benoit hasgone enter into the cancer survivors program. He is interested in helping others find their voice and want to show them how to do the same.
Tab Benoit formed in Fort Lauderdale in 1998, the metamorphosis from hard-core noise to the more mellow, more mellow style of noise that has been such a part of his brand. The band's first album was released in 2000 and they continued to tour in the spring of that year. In early summer of 2001, Tab Benoit took a break from tour bus travel to various places in between dates of their supporting tour, the benoit tour. It was during this time that they began to work on their second album which was completed in late 2001.
the album was recorded over the course of several months in various places around the world and was finally released in early 2002. The album contain's the tracks "killing in the name of the god", "the benoit tour" and "prayer for peace".
the benoit tour turned out to be the final time that the band would tour. In february of 2004, the band turned up at the interlocality in downtown Fort Lauderdale for the final time. It was with great pleasure that the band signed with the new music company a&m records in early 2004 and began working on their second album.

Tab Benoit played at the interlocality on february 24th, 2004 and was a big success! The band played an allelian set before kicks off their second set with "killing in the name of the god". The set began with the song "the benoit tour" which is the final song on the album. The band then went on to play "prayer for peace" before finishing their second set with "all that she wants".
